I hear from a lot of people who say they can’t understand why they can’t lose weight, yet they eat out at restaurants orhave fast food two or more times a day. They simply don’t realize they are probably eating far more than 2000 calories a day, and if they are not pretty active, that can add up to quite a few extra pounds. It doesn’t do much good to figure out how many calories you need to lose weight and then far exceed that number simply because you aren’t paying attention.

For this circumstance: Company cars are available and employees are encouraged to use them or not be reimbursed mileage. (gasoline plus wear and tear) If the employee does not want to drive a company car, but prefers to drive his own car, is it legal to just reimburse him for the amount of gasoline that would have been used had he used a company car and not the very inflated for wear and tear federal mileage rate?

This is an excellent post. So many people go through life without a focus on what they really want and with absolutely no plan to achieve their true desires.

For true happiness, it is crucial that you determine what your true desires are and develop your plan to make them reality.

Thanks for sharing!

I have to disagree with your theory on the rowing machine. It burns at least three times the amount of calories a treadmill would in a 20 minute set. It also incoprorates the upper and lower body for light resistance. I've been a member of a health club for quite a while now and it's typically not "new members" that are rowing. It's ones that have seen the different type of cardio workout a rower provides, not to mention the extreme amount of calories a rower burns vs a treadmill and elliptical. Just my observation.

Hi, there!

For many years I have used a natural low carb Paleolithic-type diet ( it can be obteained free from http://www.lasting-weight-loss.com ) that does not contain dairy or grains and in particular no refined (processed carbohydrates. It works well for me both for health, weight loss, and to avoid weight gain.

I also benefit from eating five or six smaller meals a day and I eat no refined (processed) carbohydrates whatsoever. I get all of my carbs from organic low carb vegetables and a little fruit.

There's a great article on the important of folic acid in pregnancy on the Very Healthy Life website. And if you're looking for a very high-quality, all-natural B complex or a multi-vitamin with the RDA of folic acid, I can highly recommend Shaklee vitamins. B complex and Multi Vitamin
